I have used DDWRT in the past as can be seen in my signature. I was using Gargoyle and now OpenWRT but wish to go back to DDWRT. However, I am unable to flash DDWRT for some reason.
If I flash from Linksys firmware, the factory to DDWRT bin file, it simply restarts into Linksys. If I flash OpenWRT image, it flashes properly. I am also unable to flash to DDWRT from OpenWRT.
It's honestly confusing. Not sure what is happening. _________________ Device: Linksys WRT1200AC v1

Reason for asking which version you are trying to flash is that there have been noted versions which will not flash in the past, so it would be helpful to know. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Thank you!
Didn't know that we could do from OpenWRT but yes, it did not work. I went to Linksys factory firmware as mentioned and unable to install from there as well.
I tried the latest version that's available on the download as well as older std 44048 builds which people said works the best with Apple devices but every time I use factory to ddwrt file from Linksys firmware, it just reboots into the Linksys firmware.
I am able to go between Linksys - OpenWRT and OpenWRT to Linksys without a glitch. That's what's troubling me the most. Will give the second topic a read.
Edit:
I think need to go back to an older version first as recommended here:

By "current", I presume you mean 47479 and not 44715 on the non-updated *router database* page. That is the thread I was looking for specifically that alluded me earlier Hopefully you get this sorted out. FF ESR portable, Pale Moon Portable, Waterfox Classic seem to be the go-to browsers for folks. I always recommend using private browsing mode and no add-ons or extensions loaded in your browser and using a browser you're not cruising the internet with.

Yes, was taking a look at the latest under downloads section itself in the directories and the older firmware method worked! Thanks!
But now PPPOE doesn't work, lol and its a simple setup I know, you select PPPOE, username, password and apply. That should do the trick but while its getting the Access Concentrator Name, it just would not connect.
Come to think of it now, OpenWRT does not pickup the PPPOE connection for me either even though Interface/Username/Pass are all correct there. Then I end up into the list of interfaces tab there and click RESET on the WAN Interface I just created and bam, it connects.

This is happening on the last build I tested which used to work for 36006. Also tested on 44048 and several latest builds. No resolution. _________________ Device: Linksys WRT1200AC v1
