been using this ol girls 5GHz last few days
reason using its 5GHz is --
oldass Toshiba laptop has BCM43142 WiFi card that don't play nice with Debian 'Bookworm'
I got a cheap netgear N600 USB/WiFi that works much faster/better but it will NOT see the main EA8500 CH 161 VHT80 but works fine connected to 3700v4 CH 108 HT40 upper. The Netgear N600 dual band usb/wifi said WIN10 only ...of course, I dug up some Linux/Debian drivers but it's NOT 100% ..although works very well on any/all 2.4 channels

main EA8500 still running r47474. Might/maybe update it when gots less internet traffic.
Bricked it good the other day, user error I think.
Had a heck of a time recovering. Gave up threw it in the trash but fished it out later.
Finally got a modified Openwrt file loaded via serial. Then old DD-WRT builds with resets along the way.
Then loaded 47449 (last build I had bakup for) and now
Linksys EA8500...main gateway
