I don't have the access to change it. Otherwise, I would have without interjection. There is a fix for it, indeed; we have to convince the site admins to upgrade to v3.0.x of this forum software. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

That wont happen anytime soon if at all due to the amount of custom code woven into it, apparently it would take weeks for an upgrade.
Also, I love the color themes you made that brainslayer added to dd-wrt. Personal favorite is "Solzarized Dark" on my WRT32x. _________________ For people who are new to the dd-wrt forums >> http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html#rtfm

Even if the custom stuff wouldn't be a stopper, just the database migration alone is enough to put even the most experienced ppl off of the idea.
"I'm your Huckleberry"; Meaning, I have done the migration on non-branded and branded phpBB forums. I have even migrated branded and non-branded phpBB forums to SMF forums. I am well aware of the requirements to upgrade and migrate, but I'm not asking for the job. The database conversion and migration alone is not a show-stopper. The key at this point in juncture is to first rebuild the current search index to reduce database size; it is unfortunate that there was an oops that resulted in data loss (this was my own fault for not doing proper preparation before telling BS to prune the black hole). But anyway, it is highly possible with maybe a 24-hour turnaround at most. Especially if we were to have new donated server hardware since there is the issue of needing to upgrade the OS... _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Well, Im not the one who said it would take weeks to upgrade, I doubt it would be done in 24 hours, your claims maybe dont apply to the reality of the spaghetti that must be behind this...
You said black hole, yes, I think it maybe close to some reality.

Im doing much of the work now, because some css in old classic themes needs to be somewhat updated and BS hates CSS/HTML.
BS is pulling my patches in from Git to SVN and I have much yet to do, so far a zillion changes have happened, which most is prep work and adding classes and using them.
You will notice new indeterminate progress animation, when you click apply....
You will notice redesigned error pages even in classic themes, BS did a great job at doing the cgi stuff.
You will notice new about page re jiggle
You will notice new hotspot logos for classic themes that dont have white bits

Because it took me weeks to test migrate everything but the database to a new CentOS version. I am lacking specific things for a full migration and it doesn't take 24 hours to re-index and convert the database. I'm sure you could do it much quicker as css and php are not my strongest points, either. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Im unsure how databases and phpbb migration has anything in relation to CSS, but since Im no databases person either, CSS maybe used in some magic I haven't heard of yet.
Also PHP is not my thing, I dabble but its mostly like Frankensteins monster as a result.

Having managed a v2.0.x phpBB board in the past, I can safely say that this one is slightly branded and customized, and part of it is related to the stylesheet used not being the pre-packaged phpBB official stylesheet:
Outside of that, the migration has nothing to do with css. The chore is more related to re-branding a newer version board due to the default stylesheet changes between phpBB versions. Pre-conversion database maintenance would make the conversion much quicker; the way some tasks are completed are not followed up by a re-index, so the current database is bloated. Once you've done enough searches and looking and click on page "999" of a search and it's blank, you'll understand what I mean. That shouldn't happen if you re-index. The problem is, some folks' status would change on here because of previously mentioned snafu courtesy of my own stupid mistake.

Thats stylesheet is outdated and most can be dumped straight to hell.
If you look on the contents of it its all nightmares from 1912 the year.
IN any case phpBB for the current forums is even more rubbish and outdated, if the new ones are similar, hell no.
Anywho released a HACK theme style for the forums, check out my signature. You can expect 1 more color scheme that's not available on inspired themes in dd-wrt but is available on the original project on my sig. Im working on the next round of internal themes updates, hopefully you can see dark themes in help/about and other popups and pages soon... With BS's help.
Tomorrow or so Ill release the trac style just need to polish and remove unused bits and do some updates to forums one.

That is why I said that you'd probably be a better person for assisting with upgrading and fixing the forum than me... you could adapt the branding to the v3.0.x phpBB css much better _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
