Router/Version: Asus RT-AC68U E1 Misidentified as C1
Mode/Status: Gateway \ semi working
Issues/Errors: Unable to Connect to WAN properly

Previous FW DD-WRT v3.0-r47256 works WAN wise fully but r47282 for some reason indicates its connected to internet, yet internet is not accessible from anywhere, no pings respond to WAN

Tried power cycling modem/router, resets nothing made Internet fully accessible.

Reverted to v3.0-r47256 and WAN is back again immediately.

The access restrictions lists had to be redone due to bugs e.g. https://svn.dd-wrt.com/ticket/7457

Can someone with similar router provide feedback?

Thx

Exact steps and configuration to reproduce per the OP, please. Just saying it's broken and then throwing a flag on access restrictions doesn't give us much to go on.

Port 23 open to the WAN even though it's turned off in the Admin tab.

Do you have limit telnet selected in the firewall tab?

Yes. I disabled it but Telnet was enabled in the Services tab, also, and I disabled it and then the port got closed before I disabled the "limit telnet". Also, I discovered that ftp was open on the WAN side and it was due to the "limit ftp access" setting. Hopefully, I'll remember this is it happens again. Thanks for pointing me to those settings.

That was my next option, to ask if telnet was enabled. Glad you got it sorted.
