Should i just be flashing the netgear-r7000p/factory-to-dd-wrt.chk file from the Netgear web gui? Don't need to modify the hardware ID to a 7000p or any other gotchas?. Can't find anything definitive.

Thanks

The only caveat is the board IDs being different; it's your router, as long as you know how to unbrick it.

FYI, for anybody searching, i successfully flashed from latest stock 1.3.3.142_10.1.75 to r7000p 09-17-2021-r47461.

Just factory reset pre-flash and it told me i was downgrading versions. Didn't have to burn a new board id.

Too early for stability info yet, but was able to configure wifi and connect to it.

But you should consider upgrading to the latest release due to security patches and improvements to the firmware.

Is the R6900P running fine still?
If yes, what version are you running?

New Build - 06/12/2023 - r52955 and as always for any model router to manually configure the wireless channels.
I should not have to repeat, but R6900P is not officially supported also you should know all the recovery methods.
Also if you have not clicked second link yes an R6900P was tested as recently as r52894 that is the previous build.

Yes, I am and was fully aware it is not officially supported.
I did click on all and read about it, well at least the ones that worked, as the ones in Russia seem to have invalid cert and could not open the page with 3 different browsers.

But also was wondering about the stability though.
