Hi Guys, i have an old router that i want to use back for an AP Smile

i have flashed : ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2010/08-12-10-r14929/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_wrt610n.bin

accourding to the wiki

afterwards, i upgraded to latest : https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2021/09-08-2021-r47381/broadcom/dd-wrt.v24_mega_generic.bin

but it was a brick, webinterface not accessible, wl1 adapter was just gone...
After reading, seems if you upgrade to a generic, this indeed gives issue, so other members suggest to use the trailed version... i was able to restore the older firmware back, thank god Smile

So i was lookinng for the last trailed version, but there is no wrt610 version anymore in this folder?

https://dd-wrt.com/support/other-downloads/?path=betas%2F2021%2F09-08-2021-r47381%2Fbroadcom%2F

i see latest trailed build somewhere in the 2020 folder? is it stopped? or do i need to use the K26 version instead?

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2021/09-08-2021-r47381/broadcom_K26/dd-wrt.v24-47381_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_wrt610nv2.bin

but maybe a k26 will slow down my device?

so whats the latest best build to upgrade my wrt610v1 too? i dont want to brick it again with a generic mega build,

thnx in advance

Caveat emptor. Otherwise, you will have a tedious road ahead of you to find the latest mega.bin for that device.

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1227378

I also noticed that the mega-k26 images are not in the most recent release. Not sure if the build scripts are dying or if the images are not compiling or what.

Just an FYI, you should consider re-wording your post after you've read the readme-faq announcement at the top of the forum.

Last ones I could find with the mega_wrt610n trailed builds:

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2020/08-15-2020-r44191/broadcom/

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2020/08-28-2020-r44251/broadcom/

Not sure if the dd-wrt.v24_mega_special_generic.bin would work any better than the dd-wrt.v24_mega_generic.bin for this device. Nobody's reporting on this thing in the build threads. I presume that a hard reset after flashing the dd-wrt.v24_mega_generic.bin provided no solution?

Just to note: Today's release (47461) includes a trailed firmware image for this device, if you choose to flash and test it. If you do, please flash and report in the build thread.
