Nice!!!

Kong's firmware is a different animal entirely. I used to use it for certain things; his code was pretty solid. It's a shame he stopped developing and supporting it. It was one of the ones if I recall that could mess up your base CFE.

The only firmware I know of that mucks up your CFE is XWRT-Vortex, and that is if you make your R7000 or EA6900, etc. into an Asus RT-68U. Your modified CFE would probably work for both DD-WRT and all incarnations of Tomato without having to change which file you use. I honestly don't know what that extra cfe bin is for, specifically, I would have to look a little deeper. And yes, I have dug into the code, just a ... little... lol. AFAIK, there were only certain patches and features that differentiated between the two... but not ever laying eyes on either actual dev environment, I can only speculate (and be wrong, most likely, lol)...

I never said it does! I said it chainloads another CFE! DD-WRT is one of the relatively safe firmwares to flash because of this. BS was tired of hitting the CFE wall.

(Don't Flash The cfe_600.bin!!!)

This was a patch for specific devices; the file is from Buffalo.
