Can anybody find an older version of phpBB actively running online than this one? I have not, so far, but have only put about 15 minutes total into it. Very Happy

The only one I know of died around 10 years ago because the site admin let it go to sh*t. This one actually needs some serious database maintenance.

Agreed, and an update afterwards.

There would be a lot of work involved in upgrading, but it's not impossible. But it works, so until it's decided to take the forum offline or procure a new server to transfer it to (hopefully) seamlessly, not going to happen. People have been asking for quite some time Cool Wink Twisted Evil

There would have to be down time. Otherwise data loss would occur. I once maintained this same software for a television station BB, and the updates only took around 2 minutes, but I kept it up to date at the time. Ten plus years of database improvements would probably be a major undertaking, at this point. Best to do in increments one major version at a time, or even minors for that matter. Ugh!

Yep, I saw. My bad. It was only meant to be a joke, sort of.
