Router/Version: TP-Link ARCHER-A7 v5 File/Kernel: Linux 3.18.140-d6 #125250 Fri Sep 3 06:56:23 +07 2021 mips Previous/Reset: YES Mode/Status: OK Issues/Errors: None so far except NTP client and lacking SFE
NOTE This is NOT a C7 it's an A7!!
Upgraded router from manufacturer version 1.0.14 Build 20200220 rel.33197(5553)
held reset button in 10 seconds while running factory firmware. Factory firmware reset settings. Downloaded factory-to-ddwrt.bin from website then uploaded via router webinterface. Logged into dd-wrt and did a factory reset.
Configured NTP client in webinterface but router appears unable to get current date and time. Wifi works quite well. SFE is NOT displayed as an option even though it's mentioned in the A7v5 wiki I linked above.

Try 'nvram erase && reboot' via telnet / ssh and start over; leave the NTP server field blank. Clear cache and use CTRL+F5 to confirm it's not an issue for SFE option to be visible; it's in the configs to be there. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Router/Version: NETGEAR WNDR4300
File/Kernel: wndr4300-webflash.bin
Previous/Reset: r47282, No
Mode/Status: WAP
Issues/Errors: NTP is broken
Been over 2.5 hours so far and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Thanks BS!
EDIT: I decided to take a look after other users pointed it out, and the time displayed on my router is in fact incorrect, so it appears NTP isn't working. I'm using pool.ntp.org with the correct time zone. _________________ HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini PC [i3-6100T] (WAN, DHCP, QoS)

Previous/Reset: r47282 / No

I know this is an "older" build...
On the DIR-825, I was trying to change from Gateway mode to Router mode and the firmware would not let me... the GUI would switch back automatically... I reset the firmware to factory defaults and exact same thing was happening... I do not think it is a PEBCAK error

The NTP client code does work and has not been changed... if NTP does not work for you, it is a configuration error on your side.

I think this build did have some glitches in the webUI? Anyhow, @Aar and others with NTP issues; leave the server field blank or use an IP address. It is strictly a dns resolution issue. You can adjust the interval for NTP updates to once a day or every other day as well.
Code:
nvram set ntp_timer=86400 (daily)
nvram set ntp_timer=172800 (every 48 hours)
