Some devices have region-specific firmware variations. But the "DD_BOARD" is the same regardless. Is there a way to detect the "region" for the board from the command line? wrote a script that downloads the correct firmware, but I'd like to make it more portable in case I upgrade to a new device and detect the right firmware automatically.

In addition to DD_BOARD, there are other "board" values But they are not English...

Unless you upgrade firmware frequently, it's safer to manually update firmware watched with human eyes. Beta firmwares can go wrong. Same with Windows Update.
