Router Model / Version: Dlink DIR-882 A1
File: dlink-dir882-a1-webflash.bin
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r47182 std (08/15/21)
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r47086 std (07/22/21)
Reset: NO
Mode: AP
Uptime: 24 hours
Status: working
Services: Openvpn client, DLNA, SAMBA, PPPOE
Issues / Errors: Flashing the firmware went without any issue, everything seemed ok for 24h. Then, i tried to reboot the router and it took a while. I swithed it off then on, and all the settings were gone. I uploaded settings backup that i stored after flashing this version (backup was made with r47182 as recommended). I'll switch back to r47086 which was the best version for me, it ran for weeks without any issue, as i'm not sure that next time i reboot i'll not have the same issue.

if you turn on and off the device multiple times the device will reset itself. this is a mergency reset to default feature. _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s
I just tried it a second time. I had no choice but to use the power button since the router just refuses to reboot, even if i wait 10mn. Here is a picture of its state after i click reboot in administration panel:
I never observed this behavior with other versions. May be i could try to install this version with reset settings, even if my previous version is not that old (r47086)

I think you can try build r47153. My Broadcom DIR-868L Rev A router sometimes hung (when running build r47182) when performing a reboot from browser GUI, or via telnet/ssh/serial console.
I have serial console access to my router. When rebooting, sometimes it will just hang. The only way is to power cycle the router. And when I reboot the router, all configurations will reset. This behaviour is quite consistent.
From the sources code, I suspect the issue is introduced after build r47153. You may want to try it (r47153) out.

no issue here with hammering for reboot. i also have never seen a serial log of it _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s

Well, my DIR-868 Rev A has issue when rebooting. The nvram got wiped and I had to reconfigure the router.
When the whole router hung (when trying to reboot), serial console shows nothing. So nothing to post online. The only way is to power cycle the router to get it to boot.
