WRT3200ACM, DD-WRT v3.0-r47117 std (08/01/21)
1) If I add a Virtual Access Point to WLAN2 and APPLY it then does something for HTTP access.
2) If I try to access the router through the web nothing happens.
3) If I telnet and perform
stopservice httpd -f
startservice httpd -f
I can access the router page.
4) If I access anything to do with wireless it goes back to hanging.
The VAP does work but I can't change any wireless options. I use it to connect any devices I want isolating from the rest of the LAN. For example any Amazon devices, guests etc.
Until it's fixed is there a command line method ?

You should simply disable wlan2. It's not a third usable wifi interface. Supposedly it's for detecting radar signals, isn't even connected to external antennas, and has only a tiny bit of transmit power. There have been many discussions of this in this forum, and they all end the same: disable it. _________________ Six Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 routers on 48141: VLANs, VAPs, NAS, client mode, OpenVPN client (AirVPN), DDNS, wireguard servers and clients (AzireVPN), three DNSCrypt DNS providers (incl Quad9) via VPN clients.

I'm new to DD-WRT; thanks for the info.
This shouldn't cause HHTPD to hang though; should it ?
I'm with you... I can't see why it would matter to httpd. But then dd-wrt has surprised me with many things I didn't see coming. So I just keep chipping away at issues as I can, slowly improving my overall setup. Kind of all we can do, right? _________________ Six Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 routers on 48141: VLANs, VAPs, NAS, client mode, OpenVPN client (AirVPN), DDNS, wireguard servers and clients (AzireVPN), three DNSCrypt DNS providers (incl Quad9) via VPN clients.

"Apply" has a whole lot of weight behind it. "Save", not so much. Do all of your configs, "Save" each page, then when done, reboot. Now, if you are using a browser with extensions loaded and surfing the internet while accessing DD-WRT, then that is a large percentage of your problem. If people understood how the webUI worked, a lot of people wouldn't say things are broken. Well, they kinda are, but I'm not going to tackle a complete re-write of the webUI _________________ • Official Forum Rules, Guidelines & Helpful Information • Firmware FAQ • Installation Wiki • Where Do I Download Firmware‽

Thanks for the input. I'm using Firefox and I aren't web browsing the internet at all nor anyone else; I only have one extension, Bitwarden.
I'm assuming there must be config files/Linux commands to achieve the same objective; otherwise I can't use a VAP and the Web GUI.
Has anyone else tried this or is it just me ?
Update: I do have NordVPN flash app installed.

Private browsing mode, NO extensions loaded, and don't use the same browser to surf the 'net with. I generally use FF ESR portable or Pale Moon Portable.
Something is going on with wireless.
An above comment says don't use WLAN2.
Unfortunately, that's the only interface I can connect anything to. I've tried connecting to WAN1 with the exact same security access, and I have also tried other permutations, all of which refuse to connect.
