Hello,

I have 2 R7800 Router The Main Router is connected to Internet.
Now i had connected the secondary R7800 with WLAN to the Main Router with 2.4 GHZ Client Bridge and 5GHZ is Off
Main Router 192.168.1.1
Secondary Router 192.168.1.2

The connection works fine and i can connect to both routers. The Internet works also on the secondary Router.

But something is strange in the LAN Status Tab.
There is the MAC Adress from the secondary Router with more IP´s from Devices which are connected with the secondary Router.
The IP 1.1.1.1 have no device! From where is it?
Is this normal in this configuration?

I hope someone could give me an advice.

Quad 1 IP address is Cloudflare DNS:

https://www.google.com/search?q=IP+address+1.1.1.1

The MAC address of the other router showing up in the active client list with an asterisk for the hostname is a known feature and has been there for some time.

Thank you

But i didnt´t configure Cloudflare DNS anywhere.

I understand the asterix but why there are more IP Adresses for the same Mac Adress from the secondary router.
Is this normally?
i alway thought repeater do a new Mac Adress on the first 3 Numbers and the last free Numbers ob the MAC Adress come from the device.

Is the 1.1.1.1 on the LAN side? it shouldn't.

Do an ARP from the router and check the MAC addresses to verify whether somebody misconfigured a device and set a public DNS as a local address.

Hello,

I have done the ARP and the 1.1.1.1 shows me only on the secondary Router.
I don´t know why.

I have changed from Client Bridge to WDS AP and WDS Station.

Now it looks like okay.
The 1.1.1.1 is away and the strange thing with the many Ip´s for the same MAC-Adress from the secondary Router.

I think the best option was WDS now.

Thank you.
