I have the same issue with Archer C7 V2 and 47000, on 5GHz only. There are many 5GHz APs within range of router, and scanning doesn't work. The only channel scanned by the functon is the CURRENT channel. So there's no one else there if you are the only one using it.
I don't have any type Archer unit...
...However if you guys have not rebooted the router you might try that.
NOTE:
on one of my EA8500 running r47040 setup as OVPN server, samba share ... basically set as a WAP although
I normally do not use its radios. I turned on its 2.4 just to see if it was ok after install.
Radio came on just fine and worked okeydokey. Page ../Status_Wireless.asp showed radio on and correct info but nothing at bottom of
that page would work at all. (Spectrum, Site Survey, Channel Survey, Wiviz Survey) All NO worky.
I did a simple reboot and all was good then.
NO telling if that will fix you guys but worth a try I reckon
messages, so I looked through the changelogs and went back to 45767, the latest release that DID NOT have ath10k firmware switching, and things are working as far as wireless is concerned. So there's a baseline rev. anyway...TBH I should run 45820 and see if the bug appears...
Hello, I had a similar problem with my Archer C7 - V2 TP link. The bug has been resolved by switching from dd-wrt to Vanilla.
For all the details on how to switch from dd-wrt to vanilla, look at this link

Ya, that confirms it was the dd-wrt firmware. Thanks!
Update using r47000 and r47142: 5 GHz site survey still fails with vanilla firmware and UPPER Extension Channel selected. It works, sort of (sees 1/2 the APs seen with 45767), with LOWER Extension Channel selected. All adjacent AP channels reported in 45767 site survey are BELOW this router.
EDIT: Browser interface is much slower than 45767, either band Channel Survey times out about 50% of the time. I don't need the new features yet so I'm reverting to 45767 for now.
EDIT2: 47745 and above appear to fix all the issues I've seen. 13 5 GHz routers in the neighborhood...
