The worst was minidlna.conf, which for a moment, had a mode of 777! I cannot reproduce what I saw though. I really saw it....
BTW, I think /etc/minidlna.conf was NOT generated and followed corresponding MiniDLNA settings in WEBUI.

I was confused again. DD-WRT is using /tmp not /etc... I was by habbit thinking about standard Linux convention.
But is it a good idea as /tmp is NOT read-only! It's great for programmers to debug source codes though. "tmp" should always be about temporary stuffs. It's more logical/natural for system-generated config files to go into /etc.
Anyway, you always login as root.

Again, the server name "friendly_name" of MiniDLNA is using Setup -> Basic Setup -> Optional Settings -> Hostname(?), means it's coupled with Samba....
