moto g7 and 5GHz

Hello. Is there some trick to get 5GHz to work?

I tried giving the 5GHz radio it's own SSID and my phone (moto g7) would list it in WiFi list and connect but then immediately disconnect.

I then tried using the same SSID as the 2.4GHz radio but phone said it was using 2.4GHz not 5.

I used a moto g7 for a while and NEVER had a bit of trouble connected to the EA8500 5GHz

Since month or so back I went to the moto edge+ which is 2~3 times better/faster phone than the moto g7 Razz
