I am trying to connect to ASUS RT-N12 with DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/19/12) mini installed by using privat-public key.
I generated keys by PUTTYgen, add public key to http://192.168.1.1/applyuser.cgi -> Dervices -> Secure Shell -> Authorized Keys
In Kitty:
- Connection -> Data - Auto-login username = root
- Connection -> SSH -> Auth - link to privat key
Connection hangs up after terminal message:
Authenticating with public key "rsa-key-20210721"
Please, advice. Thanks!

Wondering if it is a quirk with KiTTY or the version you are using or something. I have had no issues with this, are you sure you didn't create the wrong length key? _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

Did you usa dropbearkey to generate the key? Or did you copy it from some Linux's OpenSSH .ssh folder?
I take the pair of keys from PUTTYgen
I believe you need to use dropbearconvert to convert the key into Dropbear format... I haven't used this feature yet. Better use dropbearkey to generate the keys! But then I dunno whether Putty understand Dropbear keys. I only knew that Putty cannot take OpenSSH keys directly, but to convert it using PuttyGen.
The following link talks about using Dropbear key generation:
