Thanks for letting me know. I scanned it with a AV before posting and it didn't find anything. I will redo the image again with some different tools on the new VM and post it again. If maybe you can check it again just in case. i would appreciate.

I have uploaded the image again. I recreated it with different tools. I think there are no rootkits in this one. The link hasn't changed and the name stays the same.

This is an image for vmware esxi (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VMware_ESXi)
as a base line you install esxi on to the PC. and then on esxi you can create one or more virtual PCs or servers. and all those devices will be using the same CPU,HDD and ram on that single PC. Windows server 2008 and upwords can also do this but esxi is better.

Import into VMWare Workstation went fine.
Update to most recent version went fine as well, I used this file:

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2019/01-14-2019-r38302/x86_64/dd-wrt_x64-webupgrade_public_vga.bin

Thanks!

How are you getting that? I have been using DD-wrt for years now. The AV your using is showing a false positive on the disk images for sure. Check it with a different virus scanner.

I use the 64 bit version here.
ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2019/01-18-2019-r38326/

I use a older Dell Studio 540 system with a Duo Core E7500 processor and 6GB of DDR2 memory. With a PCI realtek gigabit card. I want to get a PCI-E version of this card to get better performance. I also have two 2TB drives and a 500GB for NAS storage and junk 64GB SSD as the boot drive. It works perfect when there is no show stopper bugs in latest updates. I know the DMZ and port forwarding has been broken for 2 months now. I have 3 WIFI access points throughout the home with few gigabit switches.

I do not know purpose of running this in a virtual machine when its best to run this on real hardware.

Very thank to sdacompany for provide the ova.

I've a problem that I think to solve with dd-wrt: I've a vm win10 that have installed a vpn client based on openvpn (no other thinngs) with it own tap adapter.
My scope is provide the tap to the host machine: Ive two interfaces on this vm: a nat interface (that provide the internet connection) and a host (that provide back to the host the tap interface)
The first attempt that I've do is bridging the tap with the host interface, this has stopped also the vpn tunnel because the host interface forces its own IP address on tap.
The 2nd attempt that I'm trying to do is routing the tap interface as wan of ddwrt (wan with dhcp client ) to a host interface as lan of ddwrt (maybe also with dhcp client) but I'm stopping because I've big doubt how to set the interfaces.
Host provide to w10 vm wmnet 1(host) and wmnet8(nat) but I'm not sure what interface I've to provide to ddwrt vm, I've see that vmnet0 is needed (is the lan side? how I can bridge as dhcpclient vmnet0 and host interface?
How I configure vmnet 1?
I'm very newbie to vmware with vm-into-vm with related network routing.

it sounds more that you are asking a question on vmware and not dd-wrt... thus I suggest you read:
