Safari 14.1.1 on macOS 11.4 is still laggy and timing out
Firefox 89.0.1 on macOS 11.4 laggy, but seems to work
Like others in this thread, Firefox is prompting me to save a username/password that is not the combo I use to login to the box normally. Screenshot is attached.
It seems to make sense that these timeouts could be related to authentication errors. Maybe that could be a starting place to look? I've got my regular username/password saved, but I haven't saved this new thing.
Also, is it just making these credentials up out of thin air? Seems weird.

Yes I get this too, its just so frustrating.... I went back to dd-wrt because I like how you can choose which DNS servers to go through the tunnel, just seems easier than Kong's OpenWRT build, which is perfect by the way, no lagging at all, but just dont like how the DNS servers are set up with wireguard interface. So even though it takes me like forever to change my wireguard VPN connection to another tunnel, im being patient with it, which used to take me seconds, takes me 5 minutes to do....

Hi everyone. I stopped by to find out if DD-WRT v3.0-r44048 std (08/02/20) is still the latest version that has no problems with the DDWRT interface with iOS 14 or later and macOS Big Sur or later? I have no problems because I rolled back to DD-WRT v3.0-r44048 std (08/02/20) a while back. Can I move to a newer version? Thanks!! _________________ Linksys WRT32X | DD-WRT v3.0-r51937 std (03/05/23) | macOS Ventura
R7500v2 running build 47000
Mac mini (Intel chip) on macOS 11.4 (Big Sur)
Safari 14.1.1 laggy, timing out (mainly timing out)
Chrome 91.0.4472.114 laggy, timing out
Firefox 89.0.2 laggy, timing out
Microsoft Edge 91.0.864.59 laggy, though it recovers from timeouts quicker
under Parallels 16.5.0 running Windows 10 (21H1)
Chrome 91.0.4472.114 laggy, but functional
Microsoft Edge 91.0.864.59 laggy, style sheets aren't loading
Does anyone have a setup on a current build that is not having problems with using the GUI?
Questions for everyone posting here and elsewhere regarding this:
1) Are you using private browsing mode?
2) Are all your add-ons and extensions disabled?
3) Are you logging into the webUI with the same browser you are surfing the internet with *at the same time* in a separate tab?
1. I am not using private mode.
2. In Safari, no, the add-ons and extensions are all enabled. In the other browsers, there are no add-ons or extensions. I downloaded those browsers just so I could test this issue. They are plain vanilla.
3. With Safari I would have other windows going (or maybe tabs). With the other browsers, nothing except the DD-WRT interface.
I have this issue on Mac (11.4) and Windows when i connect on Wlan
syslog shows some httpd errors
Code:
Jun 26 19:12:03 DD-WRT daemon.err httpd[1191]: httpd : Request Error Code 408: Unexpected connection close in intitial request
Jun 26 19:16:39 DD-WRT daemon.err httpd[1191]: httpd : Request Error Code 408: No request appeared within a reasonable time period.
I get the same errors on my Macbook 11.4 with safari, chrome and firefox. Firefox is somewhat usable - i'll be humming along, clicking thru tabs, but then it comes to a grinding halt and times out. Telnet also becomes unresponsive - ssh appears to still work.
