Issues/Errors: Update via UI failed and the UI would not come back while WAN connectivity stayed up and so did telnet. Used the telnet method, nvrame erase && reboot, all good after. UI seems much snappier and things like load averages work better (previously zeroes). Only thing I've noticed so far is that the CPU seems to not downclock itself - staying at 1400Mhz. Previously I think it downclocked to 700Mhz (don't quote me on it, but I've definitely seen it report 700).
Tested network speed, jitter, and packet loss - all as good or better (no idea why it would be better, but just observing).
Only thing I've noticed so far is that the CPU seems to not downclock itself
been like that a long time now ... BS has its CPU frequency set to 'Performance' (always at max CPU)
you can change it if ya want --- I have the EA8500 set to 'ondemand' so it usually stays at 800 rather than 1400 MHz ...
...but I also only have a 50up/50dwn ISP connection so she is always just fine
EDIT:
telnet or ssh and enter one of these
# on demand scaling enter below command #
Code:
for CPUFREQ in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor; do [ -f $CPUFREQ ] || continue; echo -n ondemand > $CPUFREQ; done
# performance scaling locked on Max CPU freq enter below command #
Code:
for CPUFREQ in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor; do [ -f $CPUFREQ ] || continue; echo -n performance > $CPUFREQ; done
Don't try to run either from the webif page ../Diagnostics.asp cause most likely WILL NOT work.
However, on that same page you can paste in the 'Startup' box and then click 'Save Startup'
and when it is ever rebooted the commands will work ....tis prolly the best method since you then never have to worry with it on upgrades unless you do a reset.
Issues/Errors: router is resetting itself when is miniDLNA is on and when is connected 128GB pen drive. I turn off samba and miniDLNA. Only on is server FTP. Router is working but is resting when I want to send to ftp some files. When I'm downloading from FTP router works.

Oh, sorry! Didn't catch that change. Thanks for the instructions! Shortly after I ran the command, I saw 800/800 Mhz for the 2 cores in Status.
Had some rebind errors from dnsmasq, but after some googling found that you need to add
Code:
rebind-domain-ok=/plex.direct/
to the Additional Dnsmasq Options.
The thing I am looking out for is QOS being enabled causing something to fall over. On the Kong build 37495M I stopped using QOS because for some reason Internet stability would go to hell every few hours. So far as so good though. I am still tweaking the settings to try to figure out what's ideal (I am new to this), but I haven't had overall connectivity problems with it enabled.[/code]
