after upgrade, clients could not connect to Wifi (2.4 or 5Ghz). Performed hard restart, all is working now.

I'm not sure if this applies for your case, but it doesn't hurt to try if you still encounter the same issue the next time you reboot your router

So, wl0/2.4G was working but only briefly. I've tried everything I could related to this section but cannot get my devices to connect successfully.

On my devices that are both 2.4/5.0 capable, only 5GHz works. On my devices that are only 2.4 capable, none of them work on 2.4GHz.

Things that I've tried:
1. Disabling MAC filter
2. Adjusting max associated clients
3. Changing passwords on both WAP and devices
4. Tweaking security mode and WPA/2 algorithms
5. etc

What other suggestions can I try?

You will also possibly wish to upgrade to 46690, or wait for the next public release to drop.

Router/Version: Linksys WRT54GS v1.1
File/Kernel: dd-wrt.v24_mini_generic.bin
Previous/Reset: r46329 (Apr 13th 2021) / Yes (i.e. 'nvram erase && reboot' after flashing successful)
Mode/Status: AP (i.e. Standard use)
Issues/Errors: No

everything seems okay after a bit over 2 days of uptime so far. I upgraded to this from my previous build from a month ago for the 'Fragattack' fix as this is the first build that has that fix.
