It is possible that there is now a redirect to https via the link that will not work with wget since ssl support is not configured or compiled into busybox wget. You can try using the ftp link instead:
Something is new and strange; I have done this dozens of times in past years, mostly using the browser to get the path, and then using wget and ftp in a terminal.
Very odd state of affairs. Perhaps you could try it from your end.
I want to use an up-to-date router since the isp is not doing security updates to their supplied router.
