Hi all,
first thank you for all that great work i have been using for years, very happy to share on the forum now.

I recently moved to WRT3200ACM and need to make use of the usb port to mount a drive. Unfortunately, for a variety of recent firmware versions, it seems i cannot mount a recent SSD.
This is apparently not due to a classical cable issue : i tried with 2 different cables (USB3, esatap) and got the same issue while both connection cables work well to mount the same drive on a linux laptop (ubuntu18.04).

More into the details, i had the same issue with r46446 as well as with r45632 and r44048.

The disk that generates the issue is a Seagate IronWolf Pro 960Go with an ext4 partition. Then connected and when activating USB core service, the issue(s) are the following:
1. at reboot, internet access is no more available until usbcore is deactivated.
2. dmesg seems to show that the drive speed cannot be adapted/negociated (log reported below from the usb core activation to the first iteration of the loop "hard resetting link->exception...").
As a consequence, on the usb service panel of ddwrt, no disk is reported (as well as on dmesg...)

I saw similar issue on other linux system that related this to outdated kernel modules but i am absolutely not a specialist. Thanks for your help and work once again !

WRT3200ACM
r46446 but same for r45632 and 44048
