Here is the spec of the router and firmware.

Linksys E1000 v1

Firmware Version
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (04/13/11) mini - build 16785

I'm having trouble following these intructions..
is there an up to date tutorial?

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Dual_WAN_with_failover

It seems based on an older firmware version...I could really use a helping hand... Is anyone accomplished this task?? Commands seem to work but then I recieve nvram lock... The next step is all scripts... what do I do with them? The admin tab only has startup, shutdown, and custom script.... any ideas?

Well after reading a different tutorial I found you are supposed to telnet into the router.. and use root and admin to log in... even though the tutorial doesn't say that... and even if u set user/pass as something else in the firmware... anyways.... after I telnet in and create jffs/etc/config on the router... how do you create the scripts... I am assuming you edit in notepad save as a file and copy it onto the router... but the cp command doesn't work for me.... any help would be much appreciated...

I have similar problems.

I followed the guide
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Dual_WAN_with_failover

I created the /jffs/etc/config folders, created the script via notepad++ and saved them in unix format. After that I transfered the via winscp to the router (wrt54gl).

the router seem to ignore the scris, although i ran

chmod +x /jffs/etc/config/*

I have no idea what to do to get it working. some help would be apreciated

found a new script and wan failover style on https://buy.guru
its quite easy with the mentioned shortcoming. i was able to replicate it and use for 3 WAN.
It takes a new approach to the problem.
