Hi Everyone,

I was using quite old build 38xxx on my WRT1900ACv1 recently I upgrade 44048 and 44406 both of them I see high CPU usage. I run TOP command and I figured out

ntfs-3g -o compression,direct_io,big_writes /dev/sda1 /tmp/mnt/sda1

This is the reason of problem. I mount my NTFS external drive to my router. Seems like ntfs-3g using too much CPU. Is there anyway to fix that? Or I should go back to 38XXX build? Thanks.

I tried couple of latest builds in 2020 and after 42174 ntfs-3g uses high cpu. I stay with 42174.

Hi, I found this via Google. I wanted to know if you found a solution? My USB drive speed is limited to 20 MB/s on DD-WRT r44715 because of the 100% CPU usage, meanwhile I got 40-50 on stock.

Maybe the mount string "ntfs-3g -o compression,direct_io,big_writes /dev/sdax /tmp/mnt/x" can be edited to remove high CPU -o options?

I tried mounting them manually (disabled Automatic Drive Mount) without any option and another time with only big_writes. I still have the same behavior. This is what "top" looks like:

Code:
Mem: 240436K used, 13852K free, 0K shrd, 43152K buff, 149620K cached
