Issues: The issues with the WifiDog client noted in the previous builds (r46380) has been resolved. As long as the "AuthServer SSL Available" option is disabled, WiFiDog will work, providing users already setup an Auth Server.
If the "AuthServer SSL Available" parameter is enabled in the GUI users might face an issue. By default the "SSLPeerVerification" paramenter is enabled in the config. However it's only active once the "AuthServer SSL Available" parameter is enabled. To ensure everything works you must have the following already setup.
A jffs partition
Auth Server Cert located in the /jffs/etc/ssl/certs/
Auth Server cert must be named by it's hash value
In my case it works since I already have it all setup.
Suggestion: Can we add the "SSLPeerVerification" parameter to the GUI and at the same time add the "SSLCertPath" parameter as well in case users use a different directory to store their certs. If that's not possible then a way to notify users that this needs to be setup in order for WifiDog to work with SSL support.
Question: Was the default config file location changed? I saw this "#define DEFAULT_CONFIGFILE "/jffs/etc/wifidog.conf"" in Changeset 46425 but it doesn't seem to work. WifiDog is still referencing the old directory. Currently WifiDog use the config file "tmp/wifidog/wifidog.conf" when it's enabled in the GUI.
Code:
root@Router2:~# wifidog
