I just installed DD-WRT on my Netgear R7800. This is connected to the fiber optic network of my ISP Wingo (subsidiary of Swisscom, Switzerland) at the WAN port via a TP-Link MC220L Media Converter. The media converter seems to be working as all LEDs light up.

However, I don't have a WAN connection and I suspect that I have to reconfigure something because Wingo writes:
- Multicast and IGMP compatible
- Activate VLAN10 802.1q encapsulation

I know a little about network technology, but the knowledge ends again when it comes to VLANs. That's why I might need support.

Thank you and have a nice evening

Three separate threads about three separate Atheros devices regarding VLANs / VLAN tagging / 802.1q from the list of references sticky at the top of the Atheros forum:

Did you found a solution and is it working?

I have the same problem: Wingo (ISP), fiber optic modem and a ddwrt Router.
I once tried to Set up everything.. But it did not work.

So were you successfull?
