Router https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/D-Link_DIR-825
1. How check router port speed on DD-WRT?
2. How configure port speed on DD-WRT (Autonegotiation , 10, 100, 100, etc)?
2. How to determine why in gigabit router port speed is 100 mbit, but must be - 1000.
The devices, and cables - all compatibles 100%/

have a look at basic setup page, switch section..over there colour box's on the top, green is Gigabit...yellow is 100Mbit

on that router only the switch is gigabit, not the router at all...as it has a slow CPU...
so LAN to LAN ports on the switch can connect and transfer almost a Gigabit if the router can handle it...in-between...

Strange situation.
I checked all ports and...
Wan, 3, 4 - are gigabit
1,2 - just 100 mbit

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r37305 std (10/10/18)

P.s. Another same model router, but with dlink firmware shows me, that all ports are gigabits.

Can you give the screen?

Moved this to the right forum. DIR-825 is Atheros, and the General forum is not the place for router-specific help. Via ssh/telnet you should be able to use swconfig to figure some things out, unless this hardware doesn't support it:

https://openwrt.org/docs/techref/swconfig

You should consider upgrading to the latest release (please ensure you choose the right one, since we don't know what hw revision yours is!):

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2021/04-19-2021-r46395/dlink-dir825-revb/

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2021/04-19-2021-r46395/dlink-dir825-c1/

NOTE: You may have to use either D-Link Emergency Room or CLI to flash the upgrade. See Installation wiki in my signature for CLI method.

I would not like to update, because everything works fine for me, besides, I have a lot of scripts, binaries and other specific settings. I am afraid to violate something without having a good reason. The only problems are in the speed of the first and second ports. I would like to see a more specific example with swconfig.

It depends what is plugged in, the system is showing the auto-negotiation result...

Actual throughput is not bad but it is not the best... I cannot find my notes for about the speed.

Problem may not be with the router. Could be problem with cables or clients.
Do some troubleshooting to narrow the possibilities. Swap cables and/or clients.
Or connect a known good client using a known good cable to a problem port.

You don't *have* to reset when you upgrade. If that build is stable for you and you don't want any security or stability patches, then that is your choice.

Don't own the device. Found for build r39715 a similar problem

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=326309&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=dir825&start=0

and

for D-Link DIR-825 B1
reported working version r43904

Setup:
DNSMasq
Virtual wireless with bridging x2
multiple DHCP server

see https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=325949&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=r43904&start=15

Post does not include state of LAN / WAN Port on that build, but may worth to try.

Edit:
Did you swap LAN cables so you know it is not related to client hardware on other end? Check with shielded and unshielded Gig cables, a few times I had problems with shielded (metal plug connecting ground) cables (noise from DC adapter on the shield)

Hello All,
I thought I would chime in. I now have 3 DIR-825 B1, all running the latest DD-WRT or just about (maybe 1-2 builds off). All of them have gigabit LAN ports, I just checked. I can't really test the WAN port at the moment but I know it is Gigabit as well.

For the original poster, if you don't want to upgrade that is your choice, just realize that you can't expect help using an old build.

My suggestion, do a manual backup (take screenshots, etc) of your current setup. Copy any custom scripts to your computer. Then reset to default, upgrade and try and get everything working again.

+2 @ian5142 is absolutely right.
2 1/2 year old 37305 was the previous *BAD* build prior to 40559 occupying the top spot in the previously "never to be used" Router Database.
Please upgrade your firmware before asking for help.

+3
the last BS builds have vital security updates, patching a nasty holes...
running an old build exposes you to a number of vulnerabilities...that will not overcome your statement all its working ...!

Only advice is to make an update. And the fact that the same router with Dlink factory firmware 9 years ago has all working gigabit ports - no one sees. Guys - I don't need security updates, I just need the ports to work.

Some kind of clownery.

At this point, it is your choice. Several people have proposed a solution (upgrade) and you have declined. That is your choice. Don't expect another solution to magically appear.
