I've just downloaded and "upgraded" my router to DD-wrt. It seems like DD-wrt is still supporting the router with upgrades I tought.
So i've downloaded the chk file in
Netgear WNR3500L v1
WNR3500L Firmware - Webflash first installation
dd-wrt.v24-21061_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini-WNR3500L.chk
2017-09-07
The date says 2017-09-07, but after my install it says
DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) mini
Is the date on DD-WRT page just a hoaxs? and there not supporting upgrading this router any more ?
I cannot find any newer realeases under Other downloads either?
My goal is to have a freash upgraded router that has the KRACK bug fixxed..
Do not use the router database, but use: ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2017/
Use the latest at the moment 33555.
K2.6 builds are in the Broadcom_K2.6 directory.
The latest K3.x builds are smaller so it is possible that you also can use a K3.x build, but you have to research this further
Router Model: Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS
Firmware Version: DD-WRT v3.0-r33555 mega (10/20/17)
Agreed/ The R33555 release is the first release since the 7/27 release that flashes. It needs to be 7.3MB.
I'll confirm It works great, thank you guys
Are you also confirming that dd-wrt.v24-33555_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega.bin works on WNR3500Lv1? I recently tested dd-wrt.v24-33607_NEWD-2_K2.6_big.bin on WNR3500Lv1 and only a wifi connection to the router could be made all lan/wan ports are broken.
Just double checking as this is not a K2.6 build and is a mega build. Both advised against in the wiki...

33555 is the only K3x build I'm aware of that has been tested to work, I have searched the forum several different ways and have found nothing saying otherwise. Per the wiki, it specifically states that v1 can only use K2.6 builds...

I spent my entire Saturday fighting this Netgear WNR3500L and thought it was bricked until I realized that with "newer" builds the lan ports do not work. The above mentioned build will load but the lan ports will not work but you can lat least connect via wifi and revert back to the working k2.6 from 2013 recommended by the Wiki for this router.
Maybe if I had known about this a few hours ago I would still be with the confirmed working build above. I'm not going back to test it as I've FINALLY got something working but I'm curious to know if someone else stumbles across this same issue can use the above workaround to actually be able to use the bigger newer builds.

They probably knew to either search the forum or read the device wiki. This is the only device that I would recommend sticking with a K2.6 build on. It would be great to know if it required nv60k, nv64k, or generic big images, which should fit the flash space on at least 46220. Not having this router in my hands, I can't offer any advice, other than the image flashed needs to be 7654604 bytes or less.
