Stopping openvpn loading at startup cures the locking up issue. My script above still runs and creates configs and keys etc.
The scripts that DD-WRT create bring up a MASQUERADE bad argument error.
Then running OpenVPN by
/usr/sbin/openvpn --config /tmp/nordvpncl/openvpn.conf brings up a new error, but doesn't lock everything up.
Code:
2021-04-11 11:20:07 Warning: Error redirecting stdout/stderr to --log file: nordvpn.log: Read-only file system (errno=30)
2021-04-11 11:20:07 us=471966 DEPRECATED OPTION: --cipher set to 'aes-256-cbc' but missing in --data-ciphers (AES-256-GCM:AES-128-GCM). Future OpenVPN version will ignore --cipher for cipher negotiations. Add 'aes-256-cbc' to --data-ciphers or change --cipher 'aes-256-cbc' to --data-ciphers-fallback 'aes-256-cbc' to silence this warning.
2021-04-11 11:20:07 us=480305 Cannot pre-load keyfile (auth.key)
2021-04-11 11:20:07 us=481432 Exiting due to fatal error
I am still poking around to see whether I can find a work around to this, just sadly work and life keep getting in the way.
