I have the Netgear R7000 and I have read what is on here https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1208712 but that was in 2020 and we are now in 2021. All I want to know is what build should I use to flash this router? I was using Kong https://www.myopenrouter.com/download/r7000-dd-wrt-kong-summer-firmware-update but I read somewhere that he is no longer updating it.
I would appreciate any help you can offer. _________________ Netgear R7000

I tried this and it did not work on chrome and had to use firefox.
I also cannot set it as an access point because when I change the IP address of the Netgear to 192.168.1.11 or something of that sort, there is an extra box for a digit so it ends p looking like 192.168.1.11.0 and after router reboots, cannot login.
What other build can I use that is stable? _________________ Netgear R7000

But cannot change the IP address with DDWRT with latest version because there are five boxes and not four for the ip address...192.168.1.1.0 is what is there so if I want to use 192.168.1.2 for example, it will be 192.168.1.2.0 _________________ Netgear R7000

The number after the '/' is 24 by default and should remain that way if you don't want to calculate your subnet and get silly complicated. Reset the router to defaults and start over.

This is why there was no subnet 255.255.255.0? I have spent six hours on this router today.
There is a bug where the lan light is just red and blinks funny. _________________ Netgear R7000

I managed to fix this issue. Using the latest firmware and updating every six months. _________________ Netgear R7000
