Router: archer C7v2
Build: r44715

Wifi setting:

AP on Mixed network mode
Width: VHT80 - 153 UL extension channel
Channel overlap: disable
RTS/cts - 500
Beacon interval: 299
Dtim: 1
ACK 3160

Device iPhone on iOS 14 with private address setting enabled. The iPhone takes 1-2 minutes before it gets an IP from dhcp. Essentially, what happens is that the iPhone issues itself a 169... address. No problem connecting to 2.4ghz.

Although it eventually gets the IP, I wonder if anyone has experienced the same behavior and solved it.

I would suggest using channels 149+UU or 161+LL; using a middle channel as the main carrier channel may not yield what the iphone is looking for...it works, but it's not what the phone really expects... which might be why it first craps out issuing a 169. IP.

For Beacon Interval, go to 300 and DTIM of 1.
If you still have issues then.... try Beacon of 100 and DTIM of 3.

The RTS/CTS threshold is a little bit low but a range of 512-832 is within reasonable values. I originally had 784 but have been running 512 as of late.
