ProtonVPN (free) kicks off users who attempt to use P2P however this problem seems to be limited to Zoom on Android and not PC. I don't see how the app version is trigger this. I just know that it is. I had the idea to circumvent this problem by redirecting the Zoom ports 8801 and 8802 rather than placing the whole IP on the non-vpn route (using PBR). Thing is from the websites I read this isn't possible to have the device use the VPN and redirect ports it may use for a certain app.

So is it true that you can't forward ports if the device is using the VPN? If not, then what's the appropriate steps because the firewall rules for the ports didn't seem to work (at least at resolving this disconnect problem). Secondly, if someone has a similar setup - DDWRT with protonvpn could you try duplicating the problem on an Android device? I don't see how this can only be me having this problem unless there's something weird in my router setup.
