Hello,

I'm about to upgrade my router and have to redo my configuration, it isn't much but its still tedious.

That led me to wonder - what do folks who have bunch of configuration stuff - handle configurations after upgrades?

Do it manually after each upgrade?

I generally *don't* reset to defaults when upgrading. Only time I do is when something gets screwy.

I thought the steps to upgrade was to reset first then upgrade then reset before applying custom configuration.

Perhaps I'm mistaken, wouldn't be the first time Smile

That is the way most procedures read, but I throw caution to the wind. I also only flash upgrades maybe once or twice a month, and usually only after specific commits or fixes are made to the source code. This is why we have a spot in the report format that asks if a reset was done or not. NOW, if I do run into an issue, I will do a hard reset and start over, as I have everything I need pretty much where I can copy and paste it over to the webUI without a problem. If the issue is still there after that, then I know it's a problem.

You can try easyddup or don't reset which works most of the time.
