Waiting on my 64MB ram chip to show up to try it its:

HY5DU121622DTP :TSOP-66 believe J variant is what I am trying

What I would like to know is is there a tsop 56 flash upgrade from intel that works on wrt54GS v2

Anyone tried flash upgrades I may end up with openwrt instead of ddwrt due to restrictions with current images in betas.

looks like someone did a wrt54gl with S29GL128P ( 128 sectors )

anyone tried this on a wrt54gs v2?

28F128J3

https://www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts/datasheet/227/28F640J3-pdf.php

anyone tried these?

Wrt54gs v2 flash chipTE28F640J3C120 pad came off

Use forum or duckduckgo search 28F640J3 and the answer is yes, also search wrt54g ram upgrade.

Capacity is a different question. Additional pins are connected above 32MB, so maybe 64MB is max.

Cant seem to get 64Meg chip working put back 32MB and its fine, also many pads stopped working so had to jumper going to wait for a new board to try this again.

Does anyone have any nvram init commands for the 64MB chip?

HY5DU121622DTP _J got a new linksys wrt54gs v2 would like to give it a go again.

Will wait for someone to chime in, the current wrt54gs has a 32MB chip.

This is a new board without any mods.

Included datasheets on old and new attached

resolved but ddwrt cannot be used unless you recompile so I ended up having to use openwrt for full 64MB

Router Model Linksys WRT54G/GS/GL
Firmware Version OpenWrt Backfire 10.03.1 / LuCI 0.10.0 Release (0.10.0)
Kernel Version 2.4.37.9

Uptime 0h 5m 24s
Load Average 1.05, 0.71, 0.31

Cached

Router has a bogomips of 212! surprisingly even 14+ years later this router can still keep up and is comparative performance to the dir-615 E3( much newer) with a higher clock 400Mhz but bogomips of 297, so this wrt54gs router is VERY usable still in 2021!

You can sysupgrade this to latest but left it on the older kernel its just faster.

Good luck!
