I need a router that will allow me to:
1. throttle ANY connection to a max of X bits/sec
2. Not allow connections to see other connected party's packets
3. works well with at least 50-100 simultaneous connections
4. about 9 AP's will be connected to this thing

ideas?

No not at all, you need a lot of horse power to do all that, horsepower which is maybe available on high end AX routers with quadcore processors but those are not supported yet with third party firmware like DDWRT, so your best bet if you want DDWRT is x86 platform

Make that 3 votes for x86, preferably x86_64. But don't take our word for it.

okay I need a higher powered router. What's new. Obvious.
But, for the other stuff I need it to do, which I already mentioned, will DD handle these requirements? What router would be recommended?

Or are you saying I need "the" X86 router, and if so, aren't there any other routers that are as powerful as that one?

x86 PC architecture is much more powerful than ARM base, especially with newer instruction set extensions.

There are plenty of mini PC solutions around these days if no need for traditional PCI Express card support.

Could have recommended R9000 but hesitate for many reasons including cost being close to x86 solutions.

Threads exist that have discussed this topic with generation 7 to 10 intel examples from amazon or alibaba.
