On the 5Ghz wifi network, devices aren't reporting as having entered powersave mode (indicated like this normally: VHT80SGI[PS]).
2.4ghz devices indicate it fine.
Not sure if the devices actually enter powersave mode or not but I know that the clients enter it on other routers with similar configs.

Router: Archer-A7 v5

current firmware: v3.0-r45767 std (02/17/21)
not sure if it ever has worked but also didn't work on r44048

AFAIK, it's not fully supported on the 9980 and 9984 chipsets in the dd-wrt code....though it may be a chipset firmware thing too...can't recall which it was; however, you're not going to get power saving from the router end....

that said, your clients should be winding down to 6mbps which indicates power save mode. Watch the status>sys-info gui page.

ah thanks msoengineer (and thanks for your article guide with the writeup on how to install dd-wrt on this router in the first place).

I haven't really seen clients which should be entering PS mode wind down to 6M on this router 5ghz (though even on my broadcom ones which do indicate PS, they also don't go down to 6M necessarily)

anyway, I don't really care for power saving on the router end anyway, just want to know if this router is impeding the clients from entering their own powersave mode or not
