I can't get the dlna to use my sata drives for media sharing. When I plug in a usb stick it shares fine. The sata drives work flawlessly with proftpd and samba. Is there anything I can do?

Seems like there must be issues with minidlna. I reported another issue for someone in the Broadcom forum. Was that last image a different page than any you previously posted?

No, it was the same one. It's weird that as soon as I plug in the usb, my tv will recognize the network storage. Without the usb my tv shows nothing on the network.

I had trouble with my Android boxes accessing network shares using the NT 1.0 protocol. Set the min protocol to SMB 2.02 instead of NT 1.0. See if that helps.

I came back to reading about this issue.

For the Mini DLNA to read the SATA drives you have to add them to the Mini DLNA shares. You only have the USB stick shared on the Mini DLNA. Each drive needs to be added also.

All you gotta do is add the SATA drives you want and do the same settings as you did the USB stick. Then it takes awhile to scan the files for the Mini DLNA to work.

Actually, that's how I have my settings, but we still have to reinsert the usb stick for the shares to show up on the tv's. I've been calling it the "router key", plug it in and turn on the shares.

I'm glad you posted though, out of curiousity I unplugged the usb and restarted the router and it worked. I haven't tried since I upgraded.

Cancel that, my daughter just came running out and said the "penguin" disappeared on the tv again.

What happens if you added the USB stick path to the startup command script like the SATA drives were done?

I know DD-WRT does not mount any USB drives on boot but it will mount them on unplugging and reinserting them. But if you added them to mount with the startup script you would not have to keep unplugging and reinsert the USB stick or USB hard drives.

The usb isn't recognized on boot and won't show up with a startup command either. I don't reboot very often so it's not much of an inconvenience.
