Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Issues:
• There may be remaining issues for Samba (for example NTFS).
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, serial output, strace, tcpdump etc.
• For firewall NAT or WAN issues provide 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.
Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r45420 to r45454 using Brave Version 1.10.97 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20.1 OS hardwired via Cat6.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime approx 1 hr, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). I do not use NAS. SFE and IPv6 are always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq, QoS with PIE always enabled. I do not have any Apple devices.
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.251 #2342 SMP Fri Jan 15 00:51:03 +07 2021 armv7l
No issues with a routine update session. Regarding the ACK Timing discussion in the r45420 thread I found my ACK Timing set at the old default of 2000. I changed it to the new default of 500 and found no noticeable change in wireless performance over a 24 hour period. I will leave it at the 500 default seeing no drop in performance. I will post any issues if I find any. Zero issues with r45420 prior to update.
All is working good, wireless is working extra good on this release, all devices have a 100% signal quality (instead of some having 87% on previous releases).
Will update if there's any issues.
Edit: There's a small issue with some Apple devices (iPad) where after they've been asleep for a long time, they assume they're connected but there's no traffic. Disabling and enabling wireless fixes the issue. This is more of an Apple power savings issue and less of a DDWRT.
Edit 2: After that one instance, the wireless connections are holding even after sleep.
Edit 3: Well, not sure if this is only this model, but if you change the wireless security mode on this build on the 3200ACM, it gets a persistent bug where the CPU is maxed out and you can barely do anything.
Have to slowly log in through wired and disable WLAN to get the CPU back to normal, not sure how to fix this one without it spiking again.
Edit 4: Got it working again by disabling all security, saving, applying, changing SSID and password, saving applying, then rebooting.
Edit 5: I found an odd condition (or maybe it's normal?) but if you hit save and apply, then hit apply immediately after, the router enters an "unexpected condition" in syslog and well... lots of weird things happen. changing the last thing you did and hitting save and then apply once seems to solve it, but this could be what is getting lots of issues to lots of users for double clicking apply, just a thought. _________________ Router: Linksys WRT3200ACM WLAN0 and 1 have same SSID

Router/Version: WRT1900 AC V1
File/Kernel: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900ac-webflash.bin
Previous/Reset: 43471, full reset.
Mode/Status: AP, Gateway, PPPoE, DHCP, DNS
Issues/Errors: Up 2:46. No operational issues, WiFi clients seem OK.
Some issues updating:
* did not seem to reset when selecting "reset" on upgrade, manual reset was needed
* needed to use reset button once when re-entering settings
.... This is more of an Apple power savings issue and less of a DDWRT.

How do you know this is an Apple power saving issue? On all my Apple devices, 44048 is rock-steady sleep or not. Regardless, it took only 30 seconds for me to cause this new release to stall my WRT3200ACM 5G wireless via all of my iOS devices, just as has been happening with every build since 44048. A few speed tests to either my internal speed test server (Synology NAS) or to Comcast’s speed test via any of my iOS devices and data flow just halts without any errors in the log. The connections come back after a few minutes even if I do nothing.

I only know this is a power saving issue because that specific iPad I can monitor on the router side, where I can see the connection stopping.
I have an older AppleTV that doesn't have that issue though, but I'm not sure they sever the wifi connection for power savings the same way, probably. _________________ Router: Linksys WRT3200ACM WLAN0 and 1 have same SSID

I have the same issue as xl600. I tried every wifi combo I can think of on my 1900acs last night. Speedtests on Apple devices can trigger it pretty quickly, as can normal usage. When it happens on my macbook, pings stop immediately - no traffic is flowing but the wifi connections persists with a strong signal. I don't think it is related to other devices on the network - a couple of Apple devices on the 5ghz radio can trigger it. I'm stumped. 44048 is the last good release. Something broke with 44085 and 44112.
Here are wifi settings I have in-common between 5ghz, 2.4ghz. Note I disabled protection-mode but this did not seem to help. IPv6 is disabled. Firewall is disabled. SFE disabled. STP disabled. DHCP disabled. QOS is disabled. It really is a simple config.
Same issue with my iphone on my WRT1900ACS, all other devices work great. I kicked my iphone to the guest ssid that I made that is only on the 2.4ghz antenna and it seems to fair better. Hopefully this helps anyone deal with it for the time being or maybe help narrow down whats wrong.
Updated from 42602. Had WAN issues I think related to my restart of WAN to set up VLANs. Did full reset. Everything is working again without the WAN restart command. Have performance issues with VHT160 on the 5GHz band and can only select U-NII-2C channels. Speeds are the same or lower than VHT80.
4 subnets/VLANs/bridges/APs (main, guest, VPN, AV) with separate DNS settings (pi-hole, openDNS, VPN provider, Cloudflare), RSTP, Dnsmasq lease file on USB, VPN server and client with certificates on USB, and FTP server. _________________ Linksys: Several WRTxx00AC variations | Netgear: 4x WNDR4500v2, 7x WNDR4300, R6400v1 | Asus: 2x RT-AC66U | Gl.inet: 3x GL-AR150

I don't know what to tell you except to try these settings (and disable TURBO QAM on the 2.4 GHz). If you have many wireless devices and more than one router (apartment complex), you might want to enable Protection Mode RTS/CTS and enable RTS Threshold and leave them in default as well.
If it gives you trouble with old devices, you can disable U-APSD. _________________ Router: Linksys WRT3200ACM WLAN0 and 1 have same SSID

Sensitivity Range (ACK Timing) from default 500 changed to 0 for my small house. It looks faster response on getting IP and start the wireless connection.
