There have been problems with some clients especially intel, it has been reported and BS has been working on it, so it might be better on the latest build

This morning I upped from r44483 to r44772 which has been the last "good" version for me, and everything WiFi-wise is still ok. Time permitting, I'll check the latest build over the weekend.

So, for me, WiFi started acting weirdly when updating from r44772 to r44849 (I never tested r44809).

no need to try, the last build for the r7800 still does strange things (44870)

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1222445#1222445

it shows me the nintendo switch as VHT80 (866mbit although its only supports VHT20)

and the VHT20 link has moved to my QCA9984 card (which now shows 173Mbit instead of 1733Mbit)

i am of the opinion that he mixes the clients and that therefore the many problems are reported

but who knows maybe it is already fixed

Just upgraded from r40270m (kong)

Router/Version: r7800
File/Kernel: Linux 4.9.242 #836 SMP Fri Nov 20 20:41:15 +07 2020 armv7l
Previous/Reset: r40270m kongat (07/11/2019); No reset
Mode/Status: Working; Up 6hrs
Issues/Errors: Minor

I've been seeing Receive RX errors on mostly the 5ghz radio with both previous kong build and this build. kong build was almost always over 60k in RX errors over about 20 days and this build so far just over 4,500 RX errors. I have only 4 devices on the 5gz radio; 2 android phones, one kindle, and one smart (samsung) tv.

Also, the 5gh speed is much slower than the kongat build; kongat my phone (s9) was getting about 450Mbs and now it's about 150-220Mbs.

Router/Version: Netgear R7800
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44849 std (11/20/20)
File/Upload: Web UI
Mode: Router
Reset: No
2.4 GHz N only

I have an interesting issue.. I have a WDS config, the main router is a R9000 and the STA is a R7800. It is all working just fine with the exception of accessing the web interface of the R7800 while connected to the R7800. Most of the time I cannot access it.. the page will not load. I will sometimes get a black screen, sometimes a while screen.. and SOMETIMES it will actually load up but then shortly after crap out again. It doesn't matter if I use http or https.

To be clear, this is ONLY an issue when I am directly connected to the WDS STA. If I connect via LAN or via my other wireless network I can access the web interface with no issues at all.

Is this a known issue? Any ideas as to how I could fix this?

I tried going to the latest build from yesterday and I was unable to save the wireless MAC for the WDS config. Every time I hit save the MAC would just disappear and would never save (I noticed the new builds changed to WLAN instead of ATH). This was the reason I reverted back to this build. Maybe I just need to find another build or is this fixable?

Thank you in advance

I was seeing the same issue, R7800 WDS AP and R7500v2 WDS STA.
The R7500v2 GUI was nearly inaccessible when connected to it's radio
but worked fine if I was connected to the R7800 WDS AP.

I have reverted both back to 44715:44719 for the time being and all is well.

EDIT: I should say I always use Chromium on this Linux box
but I also tried FF while this was happening with same behavior.

Also mentioning this oddity was still present at 45130 and that is when I reverted these WDS units.

Same issue on several R7800 connected by Client Bridges (instead of WDS). Nothing seems to be of interest in the logs.
