I hate to make a new topic for this but my searches keep turning up references to a "patch" and possible submissions of an update but I can find definitively if it has been updated.

When I go to the Linksys WRT3200ACM download page here: https://dd-wrt.com/support/router-database/?model=WRT3200ACM_-

It looks as if those images are from 2019 ... is that correct?
If so, is there an ETA on when it might be upgraded?

FTR, I am not able to to do patches unless there are really clear instructions for someone who doesn't live in Linux ... Elementary OS and Ubuntu 20.04 are about as far as I go.

Thanks in advance for replies ... again, sorry if this has been covered, I did several searches before posting.

Looks like beta beta beta beta beta ...

So, I can presume the answer to my question is "no" it hasn't been updated yet.

Thanks

The Router Database is not maintained well, and builds that appear there, like 40559, should not be regarded as special or more stable or more solid. In fact, 40559 has the reputation of being a bit problem prone.

For the 3200, some are finding the recent builds to be fine (44980 is the latest), but some are having wifi issues with their particular configurations and dropping back, usually to 44048, which is very unofficially the latest super-solid build for the Linksys WRT... (Marvell hardware) routers. No guarantees, but I'm using 44048 on four routers and doing fine. (Full disclosure, the WRT1900ACSv2 routers I use generally have fewer wifi issues than the WRT3200ACM.)

Always read its new-build thread in this forum before flashing a build.

Edit: I missed this the first time -- what does "updated for iOS" even mean?"

Its not that hard to understand, but I will try ... the word "updated" mean "to have incorporated the latest data or information"

The word or letters "iOS" is a designation used by Apple as a name for the operating system that they use for their iPhones.

My question was asking whether or not the webflash on the page I linked to (here: https://dd-wrt.com/support/router-database/?model=WRT3200ACM_- ) had been "updated" (to include the latest info or data) that would address the tethering issues that a great many people had been looking for answers to ...

Maybe that helps ...

Yeah. The key word was tethering. I didn't even think of that. I was guessing instead that you were talking about the trouble recent builds were having with connections to iOS devices hanging up and becoming "zombie" connections.
Everyone around here knows what update means and what iOS means, but whether you meant zombie connections or tethering was not obvious (unless I was just being inobservant, which certainly happens).
