Notes:
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle. 6920, 6928, 6931, 6932 (WIP 7040)
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed 6954, 6957, with WSD support.
• VAP issue is fixed! For any Wireless Mode, create a VAP and both ath0/ath1 should now function properly.
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
• WireGuard 1.0.20200908 & Tools: PBR, Kill Switch, Inbound Firewall, Naming of Peers, Status, Key, Guides. Thanks BS & egc!
• OpenVPN Version 2.5.0
Issues:
• There may be remaining issues for Samba (for example NTFS), with frequent updates.
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, serial output, strace, tcpdump etc.
• For firewall NAT or WAN issues provide 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.
Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r44980 to r45000 using Brave Version 1.10.97 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20 OS.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime approximately 15 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). I do not use NAS. SFE and IPv6 are always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq, QoS with PIE always enabled. I do not have any Apple devices.
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.248 #2250 SMP Mon Dec 14 01:10:07 +07 2020 armv7l
WRT1900ACv1 here.
45000 stable for 24 hours so far, no zombie connections yet unlike 44863, 44944, 44970, and 44980 which all had issues within a few hours.
My settings did get reset again. But, I've figured something out there. It seems that if I start with version <44944 and flash to >=44944, my settings get erased. If I start with >=44944 and flash to >=44944, my settings are retained.
The build works on my WRT32X, but I will have to rollback to 44048 due to a weird wireless behavior that started all the way back when the Marvell wireless driver was last updated. While simple benchmarking will yield "normal"/"impressive" numbers, at least in the 5Ghz band, after waking-up the connections usually start with a much reduced throughput and then gradually "grow" into the expected numbers. This behavior noticeably affects regular web browsing experience if you are used to the snappiness of build 44048.
I have already disabled all power-saving measure both in the AP and the computer's wireless card driver (Intel 8265), tried updating the driver in the computer and used different devices, but could never solve this wireless issue without rolling back to the "known good" 44048 build.

r44863 has been a very stable and functional sweet spot revision for me in the above setup.
I store and access Excel files on the NAS hard drives.
I am able to launch Excel from a network PC and load the excel files stored on the NAS Drives.
I am able to edit and store from Excel on Network PC.
I also use the NAS drives for DLNA media source.
I flashed up to r45000 installing on Partition 1 and did lose NVram sets. Flashed a r44863 settings file and r45000 accepted and installed parameters.
Operation appeared stable but then I discovered that I could no longer save edits to an Excel file which I had loaded from NAS Drive.
Flashed back to r44863 again installing on partition 1 and the ability to save edits to a NAS stored excel file returned.
Im staying with r44863 I think until there is more dialog on changes to NAS. Its been a topic for discussion for quite some time.
Sincere thank you to BrainSlayer for his/her tireless efforts.

There was another release yesterday. Likely because of all of the rework and new features in progress. Seems nobody wants to buck up to yesterday's release and report yet. Personally, I time my updates according to release thread reports and the commit logs these days. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

1900v1 w/samba/nas from 44048 that I and many have found stable over time. This build seems solid for a few days so far. My NAS and IOS device use are VERY light so YMMV in those areas. _________________ Wrt1900acv1 r43028
