The settings do not seem to take a stance against Ads.
I could access URIs in browsers mentioned in https://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt with no problems. Running a PING command resolves to original IP of say static.uk.addynamo.com
Restarted router, restarted several machines, nara.

Where do I look?
The r40559 build has issues on other quite similar hardware. Most issues are fixed on the r40750 build.
I would reset all settings , update to a known good build for C7 v2 (r41791 or r41113) reset to default settings again and manually redo your config, that avoids importing a bad config into an updated system.
I know that there are browser plugins, if someone wants a centralised solution, a dynamically created "blacklist" on the main "gateway" should work quite similar. Am I wrong ?
Thank You for your recommendations. I was starting to think that the firmware needs to be updated as well.
Did not look at the updates for a while. Now that we got more devices/kinds/OSs on this network I think it would be better to run things from one location.
I also tried putting the script mentioned on WIKI into Firewall section - No Cigar.

You are welcome. Since BS publishes a lot of builds the challenge is to pick up a "rocksolid" one from the betas published for the hardware. Posts from other owners of the same hardware are really helpful, this makes it possible to do some "preselection". Appreciate any info what build is working reliable for you here:

PS: I do not own a C7 but its a really common budget device with a small cpu, so its in my list
