looks decent... all Broadcom chips...
well the only thing is Broadcom radios are a bit funky in
regards of firmware compatibility with open source stuff...
I guess Kong has more to say here about it...

The normal answer is that a donated router is required to add support. If you're extremely lucky, then serial boot log, and related info, could be sufficient. Very unlikely though, esp since I thought TP-Link locked down all their routers, due to the FCC ruling last year.

I sent in a TP-Link C3150 as a donation but never heard back from dd-wrt. Its been months.

BrainSlayer told me he got it but it was difficult to support. His words were “the problem is the firmware format to flash the device. this is nasty this time unlike all others”

What about it? I gave Brainslayer dumps from it through serial and ssh years ago.

Just came to say I wish there was support for this device. Was looking for router with hardware acceleration for OpenVPN.

From the comments above it seems that devs are still waiting for a donated device. Correct?

Would be nice if it was listed in device list with proper status (device needed, work in progress, etc)

Yes, this is my understanding. Someone would have to donate a TP-Link Archer C2300 so Brainslayer can perhaps add DD-WRT support to it.

The GitHub that @_Cyber_ posted above has some new information (at least to me). I didn't know that the original C2300 firmware is based on OpenWRT.

It also has instructions to enable full SSH access and instructions to enable the VPN Client in the router (not available in the original firmware).

Interesting.

Any updates on this? I also have the tp-link Archer AC2300 and would like DD WRT to support it.
