[WARNING]: This thread is only for feedback on this beta release for developers and the community's benefit.
DO NOT flash this beta release unless you understand the risks involved and specific device recovery methods.
Avoid discussions! Create threads for questions, general problems or use search; this thread is not for support.
Please list router model & revision, operating & wireless mode(s) and exact filename/firmware image flashed.
Notes:
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle. 6920, 6928, 6931, 6932 (WIP 7040)
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed 6954, 6957, with WSD support.
• VAP issue is fixed! For any Wireless Mode, create a VAP and both ath0/ath1 should now function properly.
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
• WireGuard 1.0.20200908 & Tools: PBR, Kill Switch, Inbound Firewall, Naming of Peers, Status, Key, Guides. Thanks BS & egc!
Issues:
• There may be remaining issues for Samba (for example NTFS), with frequent updates.
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, serial output, strace, tcpdump etc.
• For firewall NAT or WAN issues provide 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.
Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r44538 to r44628 using Brave Version 1.10.97 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20 OS.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, uptime approximately 18 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). I do not use NAS. SFE is always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq, QoS with PIE always enabled.
Kernel Version Linux 4.9.240 #2158 SMP Thu Oct 22 00:34:42 +03 2020 armv7l
Wirelessly streamed 2-3 hours with no issues. No performance difference noticed between this release and the last on my setup.
The version shows r44628 rather than r44627 on my router???
Edit: After 2-3 days uptime wifi problems both 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz. Approx 50-80% wifi download speed reduction. Wifi extender connections lost internet connection. Reboot required.
Edit 2: Discovered IP conflict on LAN, fixed the conflict and changed WIFI settings: AP, 2.4G,ch 6,Mixed,WPA2 Personal,CCMP-128(AES) and 5G,ch 36,Mixed,WPA2 Personal,CCMP-128(AES). Everything good after up 1 day.

Why do connection on Android devices is extremely unstable. It remains connected but no internet (it then shows ! sign with the wifi icon) and then gets normal for few seconds and then back to no-internet. Windows laptop has no issues, it is just the android devices.
The problem is persistent since the last couple of firmwares and I am beginning to lose hope now. I reset settings a few times but to no avail.

Although I haven't yet tried this build, I have noticed how Android devices either don't connect or have trouble maintaining connection on most recent builds. Ironically the problem does not appear on my 3200's. I had to revert to r44048 on my 1900's and 1200. Changing the Network to "Mixed" did help resolve some problems but my remote 1900 would still occasionally go to sleep so I reverted to r44048. _________________ Starlink & DSL -> TPLink TL-R470T+

Upgraded from 44048 without issues via GUI - did an "nvram erase && reboot" from the CLI and reconfigured both devices manually.
Issues: Wifi is still unreliable for me. Performance is great and stable for a while but then wifi connections go into a zombie state for iphones and macbooks. The wifi remains connected and alive but internet access degrades - you can see it coming - maybe Facebook hangs up, but Safari still works for a few seconds before it hangs up. It happens to multiple devices at the same time for different people in the same room. Recycling the wifi on the client fixes it right away but it doesn't last long. The problem seems to happen faster on the 1900ACS than the 3200ACN. Fell back to 44048.
Wireguard client: Using Mullvad client config following parts of Hellakenut's "idiots guide for commercial clients" and egc's updated guide to eliminate the startup script.

With a daily night reboot, SAMBA Windows customers don't seem to fall off. Without a reboot lasted a little more than two days.
Today in the log saw something new for myself (it's at the very end of the code), so decided to publish.
