Hi guys,
I used to use this software on my old asus rt n66u router and worked a treat no issues.
I have now put it on tp link archer c7 v5 router and found my broadband speed has reduced by more than half.
I am on virginmedia uk 200mb, when using their router i get speeds of 213mb via ethernet, but using tp link hardwired i am only getting 20/30mb, so as you can see its a good drop.
I have searched and tried several things still no luck.

The first place to check is to make sure your cables and anything connected is actually running at 1gbps speed.
Cables that work on one router may not work the same on another because of damage or sensitivity of older cat 5 cables sometimes allowing 1g connections. Make sure the cables are all cat 5e or better.
Check the setup>switch config tab and make sure things show in green which = 1g. Yellow = 100mbps.
If that checks out, the next place to look are your settings. You may need to reset back to factory settings and follow my signature for your WiFi settings.
You'll need to tell us how things are hooked up, too, to understand if you have something going on inbetween. You'll need to make sure that your modem is in bridge mode so you aren't performing double NAT. Router and Modem both doing network work.... _________________ FORUM RULES
Thanks for speedy reply, I will use this time to explain setup.
Virginmedia superhub 3 connected to tplink router via cat 7 cable.
Testing both using wifi on samsung android phone
Virginmedia 5hz- 85mb down and 21 up
Virginmedia 2.4hz - 41.03mb down and 20mb up
Tp link 5hz - 65mb down and 20mb up
Tp link 2.4hz - 17.43mb down and 21mb up
Testing hardwired (cat 7 between router amd tp link with cat 5e cable between tplink and laptop)
Download - 23mb and upload 21mb
Testing from virgin to laptop using cat 5e cable
Download 48.95mb upload 21.10mb
Testing from virginmedia using the cat 7e cable
Download 38.26mb and upload 20.90mb
Virginmedia have throttled speed due to time of day
Speeds look totally inconsistant now. When I last checked it i was getting like just over 200mb and 30/40 when hardwired using cat 7 between the 2 routers and cat 5e cable from tp link to computer. I have added screenshot of switch config screen

I am using DD-WRT v3.0-r44538 std (10/13/20)
Any help would be appreciated, many thanks
1. You should get more on a C7 v5 single core 750Mhz if you don't use CPU intensive services as QoS or VPN. You need Shortcut Forward Engine enabled.
You should not use a mobile phone for speedtesting a 200Mbit line over WLAN. Use a wired gigabit LAN device.
2. If you use external modem you should try lower setting on the WAN port for MTU. Default is 1500, try 1400 and compare speed.
3. The r44538 build may have speed issues depending on hardware. If you did update from old version you should reset settings to defaults and manually redo your settings.
4. If you cannot solve it with the installed build you should flash older build like r42819 & reset settings & manually setup and compare speed against the previous build.

I use VPN occasionally

Have altered this will test it out

I came from a 2018 build, now on the latest redid all settings as I read you couldnt upload previous version settings to new version.

Thanks for your reply
Then you may tell us if you had same speed issues BEFORE you installed the r44538 build ? If not, you should try a intermediate build from 2019 or the r42819 build from first quarter of 2020.
look into this topic as it sounds very similar to me:
