My ASUS AC68U is still running kongac r40270M stably. But the WAN-to-LANE wired throughput is only around 600Mbps. I am trying to improve it with overclocking.

Has anyone had stable overclocking experience on AC68U with kongac?

Will the following command from the ssh session work?
nvram set clkfreq=1000,800
nvram commit
reboot

Thanks,

stoney

Just flashed D-WRT v3.0-r44467 std (09/24/20)

In the administration tab, there is an overclock button/toggle reads 1000 on default. Very nice.

Retorical question, "Why is it so satisfying to flash a new build and test results come screaming back at you that all is working well?"

My question is, where is the info on this overclock toggle? I've been behind on the forum for a while, but this seems like a cool upgrade to not have something on. Sorry, not sure where to Google that. Ac68u

Thanks for the excitement, whether It's old news to you all or not.

I have this build
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44467 std (09/24/20)
Time: 13:51:28 up 8 min, load average: 0.05, 0.07, 0.06
WAN IPv4: 209.202.205.162

My AC 68u only shows 600 / 800 MHZ options under administration.
Was there something else I had to do see 1000 there?

I did not do anything.
However, I thought it said 800 at first, and then I checked it for this post and it had 1000 as an option.

Idk.
Let me know if find anything out.

My router still shows 600 / 800. My router was a TM AC1900 converter to AC68u. Not sure if that has anything to do.

Hi,

the frequency shown in the Management section changes with the router hardware revision of RT-AC68U.

for example:

Router HW Ver A2: 600-800MHz
Router HW Ver E1: 600-800-1000Mhz

WAN to LAN Performace on the RT-AC68U with HW ver E1:

Code:

=============================================================
        ASUS RT-AC68U (AC1900) -- WAN / LAN Speedtest
=============================================================

Firmware: asus_rt-ac68u-firmware_08-07-2020-r44085 [ Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44085 (08/07/20) ]
