I have been trying to make some changes to my Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 router and managed to lock myself out.

I saw this post:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=326477
which seems to be a nearly identical scenario, but the Hard Reset ("30 reset") did not work for me. The router is up and running, but it is not assigning IP addresses and even if I set one, I still cannot connect.

I also tried the "Hard Reset on ARM and other newer routers" using the WPS button to no avail. From here: https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Hard_reset_or_30/30/30

I also saw Kong's post here:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=875109#875109
which I also tried to no avail.

I am really hoping I did not brick my router. Any advice/ideas would greatly appreciated!

when ppl are desperate, they are ready on a reckless things....so, don't do 30/30/30 on ARM routers, nvram erase...is also questionable, but it works...reset button should be the best option...or rest via GUI...

in your case, if you made some settings and you are locked out...than you'd need either tftp or serial recovery... do keep in mind you will loose all your current settings...

best bet TFTP ... https://kb.netgear.com/000059633/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-TFTP-client

so, go first back to the original Netgear stock firmware, and than reset via button, restart and log in to upload/update factory-to-DDWRT.chk image and than webflash.bin file...

do use an old stock Netgear file if possible...i can attach an old R7000 stock version, that did work for me back in the days...

the other option is, attaching a serial interface...usb to ttl.. but lets hope, you wont need that step...

last, but also important is, we hope you didn't damaged your CFE, but this is recoverable too...nothing to worry about

lets see first, where you gonna get with TFTP recovery, that suppose to sort you out...without any troubles

In addition to what Alozaros has said and maybe before
you open it up for serial,
NMRPFLASH for Netgear routers is worth looking into.

TFTP will probably work though.
