I know that everyones network differs in someway but what im wondering is if there is some sort of guide or tutorial available to setup DDWRT to its best performance.

I have the Netgear Nighthawk R8000.

Thanks.

Best performance? Put it on a PC and turn your R8000 into a really expensive access point.

Then it's not about general "Setup", but "Performance Tuning"! Edit your subject or start a new thread! Smile

I suspect there isn't much users could do with the binary codes from router manufacturers. You could play with kernel parameters but it shouldn't make much difference.

If you were talking about networking, then you might dive into QOS and SNMP.

Sell R8000, then buy R7800 or R9000 and there will be much rejoicing <yay>.

Maybe find a deal on a used EA8500. This is the most constructive post, ever.

Most tuning is done on the wifi.
