Notes:
• CVE-2019-14899 VPN fix (applicability depends on VPN setup) and GUI toggle. 6920, 6928, 6931, 6932 (WIP 7040)
• In-kernel Samba has been implemented this year and default min/max versions have changed 6954, 6957, with WSD support.
• VAP issue is fixed! For any Wireless Mode, create a VAP and both ath0/ath1 should now function properly.
• Local DNS option removed from Services->DNSMasq in changesets 43080 and 43081; ref: #7092
• DHCP and DNS help (English) updated in 43083; ref: #7091
• WireGuard 1.0.20200729 & Tools: PBR, Kill Switch, Inbound Firewall, Naming of Peers, Status, Key, Guides. Thanks BS & egc!
Issues:
• There may be remaining issues for Samba (for example NTFS), with frequent updates.
Important:
• If reporting issues provide applicable info: 'dmesg', 'cat /tmp/var/log/messages', syslog, serial output, strace, tcpdump etc.
• For firewall NAT or WAN issues provide 'iptables -vnL', 'iptables -t nat -vnL', 'iptables -t mangle -vnL' and the /tmp/.ipt file.
• Search existing SVN tickets before opening a new one. Before reporting, reset and manually setup (no nvram backup).
• Be sure to include operating and wireless modes (Gateway, AP, CB, etc.) along with relevant configuration information.
Hello,
What do you say, you recommend keeping the settings if we do this update.
I made this update and now I can no longer connect to the wifi network!
old version is 06-15-2020-r43420 which i found the most stable for wrt1900acs v2 _________________ Internet provider https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCS_%26_RDS 1Gbps
WDR3600 rev.1.5 - DD-Wrt
Linksys WRT1900ACS v.2 DD-Wrt/-OpenWrt
I had trouble with 5G connectivity for my Samsung S9 phone with many of the earlier versions of dd-wrt, but r44213 seemed to be stable with a specific channel (Forget exactly but think it is the lowest frequency). This update again makes connecting to 5G almost impossible or if connected, data doesn't seem to flow (recently found it was painfully slow at 0.25 MBs down, but Upload worked okay).
I will revert to 44213 for now.
EDIT: This is in AP mode and not a main router.

Linksys WRT1900ACS V1 upgrade from 44048
iPad gen2, iPhone 7+, Roku 3 and FireCube 2 won't connect to WiFi 2.4 and 5ghz they just keep asking for WiFi password
Went back to 44048 and every device connects to WiFi _________________ | Netgear Nighthawk X4S R7800 | Linksys WRT1900ACS V1 | Huawei Echolife HG612 3B |
OpenVPN CLIENT works great (nordvpn server)
5GHz wpa2 CCMP-128 (AES) Conditional 40MHz Mixed
2.4GHz wpa2 CCMP-128 (AES) Conditional 20MHz N Only
NAS via USB Samba Conditional - Abends with out of memory errors from time to time. You either reboot the router or restart Samba.
Wifi flakes out from time to time, to help resolve that, I keep alive > reboot every 24 hours.

Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44340 std (09/10/20) (prev. DD-WRT v3.0-r44251 std (08/27/20))
Kernel: Linux 4.9.235 #2077 SMP Thu Sep 10 01:23:38 +03 2020 armv7l
Mode: Gateway, 2.4G and 5G wifi, Wireguard for external access, WAN to 4G, Keep Alive reboot 6:02 in the morning
Reset: No
Status: Ok. 6h up, load average 0.00, 0.00, 0.00, Temperatures CPU 73.6 °C / WL0 46.4 °C / WL1 48.5 °C, no problems. 2.4G and 5G Wifi are working and stable with my devices.
Regarding above discussion when and how to do a nvram reset:
Since I'm very lazy I only reset if problems occur. So this device is using the same old nvram settings since a few years or such. Last time I did a reset was when I flashed a build not sufficient for second partition, resulting in a complete redo of everything from scratch.
Upgraded WRT1200AC v1's from r44251 to r44340 using Brave Version 1.10.97 (64-bit) running on Linux Mint 20 OS.
Successful update and reboot. No reset, nothing disabled prior to update, up-time approximately 27 hrs, wired/wireless connected, vpn up immediately (Expressvpn). I do not use NAS. SFE is always disabled. OpenVPN client/DNSMasq, QoS with PIE always enabled.

Router/Version:Linksys WRT1200AC v1
Previous/Reset:r44048
Mode/Status: Wifi 5ghz and 2.4ghz, openVPN, DHCP, USB, JFFS2 are enabled
Issues/Errors: WiFi not functional I can't use WiFi, only wired connection is working. The only version that I have no issue with is r44048. All new releases since than are not working.
Upgraded one of my devices from 44048 without reset - 1900ACSv1 because it has the simplest config - basically it's just a WAP that's hardwired to my main router. My Macbook connected to 5ghz ok, worked for a minute or two, then the network froze. Turned the wifi off and on on my macbook and it chose to reconnect to my 3200ACM running 44048 which had a weaker signal further away in my house. There were no error messages in syslog or dmesg. I didn't have time to play around or try resetting.
Fell back to 44048 and everything is fine. I'm stumped.
Linksys WRT1900ACSv1: router mode - just a WAP that's hardwired to my main 3200ACM. WIFI: 2.4ghz: NG-mixed, 20mhz channel width, channel 11, WPA2-CCMP-128. 5ghz: AC/N mixed, 80mhz channel width, channel 36+6, WPA2-CCMP-128.
Router/Version: Linksys WRT1900ACv1
File: ddwrt-linksys-wrt1900acv1-webflash.bin
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r44340 std (09/10/20) (prev. DD-WRT v3.0-r42450 std (02/20/20))
Kernel: Linux 4.9.235 #2077 SMP Thu Sep 10 01:23:38 +03 2020 armv7l
Mode: Gateway, 2.4G and 5G wifi, Port Forwarding, afraid DDNS, OpenVPN Server, Guest Network
Reset: No, then Yes after Wifi Issues
Status: Wifi (Both 2.4G and 5G) acting up. 3h up, Wifi signal reports very weak on devices (Android and Windows 10). Frequent disconnects and DNS issues. Sometimes a device won't connect to the wifi at all. Ethernet working properly. I have an Archer C8 Running this same firmware version as a WAP and no wifi issues on that one, so it sounds like it's something specific to this build.
At first I did not reset, but when i ran into all the problems I did a hard reset and setup everything from scratch. Even just basic wifi setup without any of the other things is having issues on the 1900ACv1 _________________ Delivering pure fact does not mean you are rude.
